Summer Fun!

What an exciting summer! Many trips to the zoo, COSI, splash parks and sprinklers, and enjoying the beautiful sunshine. Alyssa loves being outside swinging, sliding, running and jumping. She likes to go go go.

Happy Mother and Father's Day 2009

Alyssa is now 1 1/2 years old! Although she has made beautiful transitions from stage to stage, hitting gross and fine motor milestones perfectly, it is her communication skills that we are truly enjoying. Alyssa is able to express her wants and needs with 2-3 word complete thoughts. It is amazing to watch her make the connections and string the words together. Just a few of the things she is doing now....

Our first family vacation...

We headed to South Padre Island, Texas around 11:00pm Friday the 17th of April. A supposed 25 hour trip turned into 31 hours with a short stop Saturday evening to sleep. So the drive was long and tiring but Alyssa was such the trooper... and when we arrived, we had a blast experiencing many firsts...

• first time on the beach, playing in the sand and ocean


• flying a kite


• meeting many of Daddy's family


• seeing a windy, yet very beautiful beach wedding
